Rob should date Amber Rose instead.

She discovered “prison spa services,” such as finding inmates who would give her manicures, do her hair and give her massages. She also enlisted the prison seamstress to tailor her jail uniform.

MRA Defense Squad en route. Excuses in T-minus 5..4..3..

The real scandal was how he was able to get away with this for so long and the fact that it usually takes multiple victims before these types of allegations are taken seriously.

No doubt. As with the GOP, there seems *no bounds to their ridiculousness*.

.

Are you really so fucking dumb that you don't understand the difference between choosing to put pictures of yourself on your own social media accounts and receiving unsolicited random pictures of dicks? Are you REALLY that fucking dumb? How many dick pics have you sent?

  • Literally no one cares what Bristol Palin the entire Palin Family tree thinks about the Oscars anything.

One thing that comes to mind is that the world is leaving behind “lolita” from the book. The concept that a lolita is an alluring, young woman is what has remained behind in the mass psychology. Japan has a whole lolita fashion movement that is not aggressively sexual. It has definite roots in being young and

I call it the “I’m 13 in 1997, and I’m 5'9 and still growing. The in style is 70's-throwback bellbottoms and mudflap khakis, but pants in ‘long’ sizes aren’t going to be available for another 4 years. Everything I own is 2 inches too short to fit, and about 5 inches too short to be fashionable” look.

I would definitely question their reading comprehension skills.

Even worse are the people who have read it and think it’s glorifying pedophilia or that Nabokov was himself a pedophile and the book is some kind of confession.

That is just weird.

Good. Another opportunity to voice my discomfort with the term/name Lolita sexualizing “flirty, sassy” girls in a “ha ha it’s okay because it’s a literary reference” kind of way.

I love Lolita too. It’s one of the only pieces of culture that show me a male creator that really understands what it is that (certain) men do to women and girls. Humbert is his narrator, but that doesn’t mean Nabokov doesn’t find him violently repellent.

I agree with you. It is a wonderfully written book. But people don’t seem to understand that he ruins the child’s life. Quite literally. There is nothing sweet or tantalizing about it.

It’s like Normcore turned sideways. Normcore exists to broadcast the idea that one is too inherently beautiful to ever look terrible; Lilly Pulitzer exists to broadcast the idea that one is too rich to even bother with knowing what looks good.

I think that Lolita is one of those books that everyone claims to know, but few people have read (Uncle Tom’s Cabin is another example). I remember the whole “Long Island Lolita” thing and people acting like the girl anything other than a victim. I have a friend who is an English professor and teaches the book. He has

Y’know, I’m a fan of the book. It’s a really fascinating read, beautifully written about the mind of a disgusting pedophile. Nabokov pulls no punches about him, and he’s clearly an unreliable narrator, unsympathetic character, and terrible person, while Dolores is a complete victim. But this Lolita subculture thing?

I think the point is just to put across, I”M RICH ENOUGH TO GET AWAY WITH DRESSING THIS UGLY.
