I was so impressed with Sasha's lipsyncs! We got to see so little of that aspect of her persona on the season proper. It does highlight how we can so often miss what makes the individual queens special when they're filtered through the show.
Thank you for this comment.
It makes me very happy to hear this.
Time: the struggle is real.
Yes! I really liked seeing her in make-up that was still different and over the top, but not a full-on character paint.
Yep, much preferring this more intimate reunion format to the reunion/crowning combo.
It is fascinating. I know the contentiousness of this reunion was a real surprise to me, not that I was surprised that there were underlying tensions that didn't get played out on the show, but that those tensions were strong enough that they couldn't be put aside for the reunion.
This has crossed my mind as well, especially with several of the queens being VERY personally affected.
Yes, Raja is definitely in there too! It's an alchemy of personal creativity and a broad knowledge of fashion.
Re: Pep's dress. I feel like with the exception of hardcore Look girls like Kim Chi and Violet, a lot of the queens have trouble with more "period" silhouettes. Those clothes were just built different and they can be hard to replicate with modern materials, especially if you don't fully understand the foundation.
It occurred to me that one thing that separates Shea from queens like Bob and Bianca is that I'm not sure how Shea would respond to criticism or conflict that affects her performance. We've seen her get tough with Nina as a friend trying to be supportive, but we haven't seen how Shea reacts to say, working with a…
I've found that, whatever flaws season 7 had on first watch, I really have come around to enjoying it. I'm not sure that will happen with this season though, regardless of how talented the queens are and how strong some of the challenges were.
I'd agree. This was a season with very talented queens, but weirdly flat production, especially early in the season. Curse of the Cheer Challenge perhaps.
At the beginning of the season I never would have thought I'd feel a kinship with Trinity, but I can relate to her skype-delay rhythm on a deep, personal level.
I loved Trinity's flat hair. This was actually the first runway that her look was my favorite.
My first thought was that keeping a top four might cheat Peppermint out of a Miss Congeniality win.
Yep, I'm kind of ambivalent about having a top 4 this year. They are all great queens and I have my favorites, but honestly any of them could have gone home this episode and it would have been justifiable (well, maybe not Shea). But Chi Chi really deserved a spot and it was a heartbreaker seeing her go home.
I've seen bits and pieces of it. Definitely looks interesting!
Up vote for your final line making me laugh for real.
