The depressing thing is that you can easily make a legitimate argument that America has an extensive and textured enough history with these sorts of massacres that breaking them up into multiple categories provides meaningful context.

Those only count as the worst if you ignore the Bear River, Oak Run, and Wounded Knee massacres though...
