Oh I miss catapult bridles

The other option the US overlooks for the Vipers is the Big Spine electronics package. It is kinda crazy that we export more optioned Vipers than we import.

The XB-35 and the YB-49 had problems with poor stall handeling and low yaw stability so that was probably the major factor. The B-2 was only able to overcome the issues found in the -35 and the -49 through fly-by-wire. The B-2’s computer controls uncontrolled yaw and actively prevents the pilot from stalling the plane

It was designed to dock with three KC-135s at a time so it is plausible a civilian version could dock with 707s at the time or 737s now days.

I do wish we had more flying boats and flying wings, they are cool branches of avation that have sadly been forgotten/ abandoned. One of my favorite craziest ideas to come from the cold war era was the Lockeed CL-1201

Now playing

Boeing needs to get back to their demo flight roots and do some rolls!

It has bucket seats, it’s obviously born to be a track car!

These aren’t all Growlers in the corner....hehe

I wonder what goes through a driver’s mind the first time they get passed and look over to see a cartoon bear giving them a thumbs up?

I’d feel worse for the Pontiac Aztec people

I’m glad Salinas got an MRAP because the gang problem has always been bad for such a small town.

The FJ felt as stable as a surf board, if the wave was longer I might have even been able to carve a bit. You just don’t want to lay it down, otherwise that is a new spar.

I’ve done it on an FJ back in high school. I always wanted to try it on a Laser but it is a lot safer to do it with a center board rather than a dagger board.

As well as the Convair 58-9

The Navy once has a nuclear bomber that was better than anything SAC had at the time. It was a boat too!

I see your XB-70 and raise you the General Dynamics SST

This should be the basis of the FIA WRC Masters, the retired champions coming out and doing two or three legs as a support series!

It’s not like America doesn’t already own the American Southwest...
