$1100/month?  Dude.

The commute, the walking, the people

Neutral: I think I know why I am a little slumped.
I have almost no variation in my days, no matter how hard I try. The cognitive intake I need to replace is that which I used to take for granted: The commute, the walking, the people (my work campus has 10k plus people on it), the variation, the walks around campus,

I’m with you until the end. Plenty of the Whites on the GMG sites subscribe to a “liberals get the bullet too” mentality.

That would be the Bronco II.

Neutral: The lockdown increased it dramatically.

“...We can give you an ad quoting Martin Luther King Jr. out of context and a feel-good YouTube promo about how we gave a kid a car.”

Neutral, the recent events have only increased my love of cars seeing how any day could be your last. I realized my life is too short to settle for cars I don’t love. So I went and traded in my Lexus for a Giulia.

Neutral: Getting into the car to go somewhere is like field trip day at school.

I’m on here reading about cars as an escape. I’m in Minneapolis, which has been rather tense lately. Fuck MPD, and fuck Bob Kroll.

Damn, you’re lucky! Here in WV, I’ve been avoiding Lowe’s like the... well, ok, not like, but because of the plague. I’ve driven up there a couple of times and the parking lot has been packed.  A couple of friends who have had to make trip there for emergency repairs tell me we’ve got about 10-20% mask wearing rate.

...joggers who have the mask on their chin until they see you and then pull it up...

Did the jogger sneeze on or around you? If not, you’ll be okay.

Mask-wearing here in Ohio depends on where you go. Shoppers lean towards masks (at least 2 out of 3 during a short time in a pharmacy pickup line at my local Meijers on two occasions). The just-opened bars, very fuckin’ few, based on photos I’ve seen.

Imagine working for a car dealer and judging other people.

It’s not as thought OEM’s are selling MORE trucks than any normal time, it’s just that they are selling MORE than anything else right now.  There won’t be a glut of trucks any more than there is any other time.

“...brings out the mouth breathing blue collar guys named Cletus” So  that’s not your opinion of your customers? Sorry for misinterpreting your comment.

1st Gear: I bought a 2020 Silverado last week - I’ve been trying to find a 2016 or 17 lease turn in with ~30k miles for a month or two. I shit you not, with the money on the hood I got a brand new truck for $1500 more than an lease turn in.

First Gear: The strong truck segment demand brings to light a fascinating mash up of demograpics, rural vs. urban infection rates, and the political divide.
