Thanks for the info.  That completely makes sense.

Makes sense.

I get lane splitting, but what it the justification for allowing motorcycles to run red lights?  I honestly never knew that was legal anywhere.

2nd Gear:  I’m wondering if there was a missed opportunity here.  Could the government have subsidized the auto companies and thereby easing the pressure on workers, while stipulating that any subsidies go towards green energy R&D?  Seems like they could’ve killed two birds with one stone.

Neutral:

I just realized something.  I have only seen a grand total of one new facelift Camaro since they’ve been released.  It was hilariously ugly, I remember seeing it, scaring the shit out of my wife when I jerked my head almost 180 degrees while muttering oh shit! in an attempt to get a longer look.  I haven’t seen one

Gotcha.  I’m not implying it was one year.  I’m saying they had over a decade of reliability issues stretching from the late 90's to about 2011.  Taken in the context of one year I could see your point, but I’m speaking more of year after year after year.  And fuck you for reminding me that 2005 was 15 years ago and

*sigh....*  Yes multiple friends told me about bad experiences they had with Volkswagens.  Also the myriad reliability issues of them in the 2000's was well known.  It wasn’t a secret.  You could look on almost any car enthusiast website, including this one, and it was well documented.  So yes, a company that had over

I blame Car & Driver for this.  I feel like for awhile, every damn car review had to make a comment about the sound the doors made.  I distinctly remember an article once where they dedicated an entire paragraph to the “thunk” the passat made when the doors closed.

This is so true...kind of like station wagons and minivans.

Glad you love it!

Thanks, for the info.  It does seem like they’ve figured out quality issues since the the oughts, and my sister in law loves hers.  I’ll definitely give them a once over when the time comes for a new car.

VAG kinda killed any chance of me ever buying a Volkswagen with the turd buckets of Passats and Jetta’s they feasted on the world in the mid 2000's. Countless tales of woe from friends and family who bought a Volkswagen just to have it in the shop months later were countless (but the doors sound so nice when you close

I’m conflicted on this. I think the thing to remember is that the stay at home orders were to prevent the overwhelming of our healthcare facilities and to flatten the curve. Now that we are reaching the peak, PPE and emergency supplies are ramping up production and we did help flatten the curve, we need to look at

I’m back!!! Thanks kinja, it only took me a year and a half to get my account to sync again. Now, back to the regularly scheduled programming.  Honestly, this year was the first year, where I honestly considered buying an electric car.  I’ve always considered them a sideshow, but now, I’m convinced they are here to

I honestly have no idea how any of this works or what their criteria is. I was just giving a guess.

Because she’s not a Rock n’ Roll artist?

Calm down, Karen

That looks like something a third grader would’ve drawn, and I love it.

Thanks for getting rid of crazy guy. That was ridiculous last night.
