I wouldn't call a proprietary storage device only available from one vendor "more user friendly". Microsoft will have ZERO control over what that single source charges for their product, while the "market" of PS5 and PC using industry standard PCIe 4.0 will drive down cost.
Strikes (even with randoms) will level you very quickly. Make sure you have a full stash of Vanguard and Gunsmith bounties on hand before your start though. Play Crucible if you enjoy it's PvP, but same suggestion grab a full stack of bounties and focus on them, not necessarily winning the matches or being on top.
