The soldiers and costume are from old, secret footage of a previous Iron Fist that is shown to someone during the show. You actually don’t get a very good look at the suit because of the quality of the footage, this picture of the crew is great and much clearer.

The idea is, facial recognition technology has always developed to work with light skin, it has not been extensively developed to work with dark skin. Ideally it would be developed to work for both equally, but more likely what happened was “well, it works for white people, so good enough!”

It depends if the clown is in a submarine/spaceship or not. If they are, it’s not as scary because you can believe that a kooky clown has a tiny goofy ass looking vehicle that defies phyics. If no vehicle, space is not as scary because you can see the clown clearly as you approach it and avoid it, and all it can do is…
