When you find something that proves mining is worse than oil extraction, I’ll include it.

Kia Niro EV? I have the hybrid version and is pretty good. Decent storage, comfortable back seat. Not gigantic.

There are also flesh and blood humans who might have back issues, and that recline is the difference between them being fairly uncomfortable, and being in significant pain for the whole flight.

Absolutely true. And, to be frank, internal combustion engines are not the greatest for stop and go duty cycles and short trips anyway. Electric is 100% the best solution for people in the city, unless you’re going to rely on charging it at home, in which case it’s not so convenient for many who live in apartments

I fail to see why this feature/event/certainty is such a surprise and annoyance to people. It’s not space that you’re using. Why does everyone feel so entitled to it?

Its like an inch and a half, youre an idiot.

I don’t recline, but you are wrong.  As long as its a feature, no one is a monster for using it.

If you don’t like the lack of space when the seat is reclined, then pay for a business or first class ticket.

As he is in the last row, which typically has zero recline, he most likely opted for the absolute cheapest flight cost possible. You get what you pay for.

I find that when I talk to people about cradle to grave ICE vs EV pollution, lots of people bring up mining minerals for EVs but fail the include the resource extraction process for oil drilling, transporting, and refining. They only look at tail pipe emissions. That, and EV batteries are incredibly useful for other

“For whatever it’s worth, the EPA and CARB do not regulate CO2"

Good thing drilling for oil is so environmentally friendly and safe and only occurs in the most stable of democracies! Yes sir!

The best part is that this will continue to improve as the grid continues to get greener. In 10 years, we won’t even know why we were debating this in the first place.

There are far fewer moving parts in an electric car than in a gasoline engine car. Aside from tires, consumables like brake pads last longer. There are Nissan Leafs (leaves?) that are ten years old and while they suck, they don’t suck more than any other decade old economy car.

If you consider hybrids, the oldest

Thank you for writing this! The total emissions of the two are actually closer than I expected, but I’m glad someone has finally done a full, detailed report. For a long time, every attempt at comparing the two I could find would completely ignore the production of the gasoline, then proclaim them to be on near-equal

Ironically, Mitsubishi’s doing pretty well and seeing profit increase. My heart still roots for them =(

Yeah I don't really want our publicly funded roads to be a part of corporate beta testing

I’m completely okay with AV testing as long as they aren’t testing on the streets I use.

For a change of pace, would be great if the next president knows what they’re doing - more than half of the time!

It’s so sad, you only had a small loan of $1 million dollars to make a living off of.
