I would restate that as the NCAA needs to die. College sports could do well without it.

College soccer isn't so much a joke as an irrelevance. At that age, good young players around the world are under professional contracts. Klinsmann's already talked about the lure of scholarships distorting player development in the US, and it's up to the federation to stop young talent stagnating in its early teens,

Well for MLS to improve, the crux of its league can't be European-based players signing up just or well past their prime. It all starts from creating an academy system (college soccer is a joke) and developing young talent as well as they can.

I really want to see the MLS or USA Soccer hire a director from one of these academies in Europe to overhaul the MLS academy and IMG system.
