The exact same thing bothered me about the books as well. Somewhere around Book 3 or 4, she starts to realize that some “facts” she thinks she knows do not exactly come about the way she thinks they did/will. I think she also starts coming around to the idea that you can’t change history at all.

In the books, in future, she will make some proto-penicillin from moldy bread. However, you must remember that she’s from 1947 and the only antibiotics available at that time were penicillin and sulfa.

In addition to what Shanetoonae said, it appears to be very dangerous to go through, so they want to do it as few times as possible.

She doesn’t know how it works. Will she go back to her time, or some concurrent time, same with a return trip.

Kelly remind me - you have or have not read the books? Just wondering if you are up to date on what is to come.

I have often wondered the same thing, and I think that there are women who have some kind of radar that alerts them to any hair-washing conversations so that they can show up and say “YOU AREN’T SUPPOSED TO WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY OR EVEN EVERY OTHER DAY, IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR.”

ALITO IS SUCH A SALTY LOSER.

I just posted this yesterday on my facebook. Timely.

God almighty my life productivity has just decreased by 30% but my happiness has quadrupled. Thank you for this wonderful gift.

Please, I hope I dont’t get lost in the sea of “pending comments”. Usually what I have to say isn’t worth much, but could someone get this outta the greys. I would like to mane this a “Share Your Story” thead. Because I’m sure other women might wish to anonymously share their decision to terminate. I think it woild be

Every time Jezebel posts pictures of young women who are Anti-Choice, I can’t help but notice what a diverse cultural group they are. Jokes. They’re always young white women who look like they come from backgrounds where, if they did get pregnant and want an abortion, they’d have access to the cash and resources to do

I think Texas is pretty much hopeless no matter what (I live in Texas), but it just boggles the mind how states who ALWAYS vote blue in presidential elections have heinous Republican governors and state legislatures. And the reason is, because progressives do not pay attention to state and local elections. Wake up

Always repost. This is the world they want to return us to, the world of back-alley abortions and desperate women doing desperate things, and often dying as a result:

No shit! “Hey guys, it’s just occurred to me that abortion restrictions actually affect women and aren’t just about providing protection for the most oppressed group in our society, Christians.”

The worst case scenario is 4-4, and even if that happens, it’s not Court precedent. It would awful for Texas women in the short term, but then Hillary appoints a liberal and when another case inevitably comes up, it gets thoroughly eviscerated.

Excellent point on yet another way in which republicans are hypocritical.

This is why whenever anyone tells me that using the SCOTUS as a point in the election is a “fear tactic” I want to literally murder them. I’m terrified how this may go.

FantasySCOTUS predicts a reversal (which is what we want) 5-3. {Marshall}+ predicts a reversal of 7-1. So, I'm hopeful.

So the same Republicans who want to repeal the ACA and focus on controlling health care costs are making a simple, safe procedure more difficult, complicated and expensive. I am sick to death of their hypocrisy. They claim government is too intrusive, but it has the right to tell my wife, daughters, and, when they

It’s always interesting that Conservatives think that the Second Amendment gives them unfettered, unrestricted access to guns, but abortion is considered a substantive due process right under the 9th Amendment and they believe in all placing all the possible restrictions on it that they can.
