I cited the 2010 census of the population of the Georgia’s sixth district. Even if 100% of them were liberals, the numbers supported my point - that in a high-profile local election, local support will naturally be dwarfed by outsider support. It really doesn’t matter if we’re talking 300k liberals or 600k liberals,

It certainly seems like Trump is working himself up to fire Mueller, based on the last hour. That will be a pretty big tipping point in American Democracy, given the Republican’s complete abdication of responsibility in trying to do anything about foreign interference in our elections.

Which I have said was a misstatement on my part; I wrote “state” when I wrote “district”.

Personally, I feel that the threat of lethal force in a situation like this one should be considered one of society’s most serious offenses, meriting the harshest of sentences - which, ideally, I would consider around ten years in prison, in cases where we intend to allow a prisoner to rejoin society.

I hardly see what’s disingenuous about citing the population of Georgia’s sixth district compared to the population of the United States as a whole in explaining why Ossoff had so many out of district donors, though.

you could just simply admit you’re wrong

We’re working towards the same goal. If a simple mistake is treated with mockery and jeering, we’ll spend more time fighting each other than the Republicans, and if by some miracle we still win, there will be too much bad blood between us to get anything done.

I generally think we sentence people to prison for too long, but four years seems terribly short to me for such terrorizing a room full of people over a ridiculous conspiracy theory. It’s true that he didn’t hurt anyone, but what about the next time he (or someone similar to him) becomes convinced that the government

You’re right, I should have said “district” both times instead of “state”. As we were talking about in-district contributions vs out-of-district, it was what I meant, but I misspoke.

My concern is that Woodward and Bernstein weren’t shouted down with chants of “FAKE NEWS!!” What happens without a check on power regarded as credible by the majority of the population?

Ah, I entirely understand... This hasn’t exactly been a year of good news. I’d really hoped that Tuesday would be a respite, but, well....

Are we going to see big Twitter announcements about this on behalf of Trump, to be outraged at how this undercuts America?

(to include, ironically, Ted ‘the Canadian Shitweasel’ Cruz)

How many of them told you that they put you on a “She’s a psycho” list as a result of the fonts you used?

After the vows are exchanged, all the guests can drink their sleeping draught to feign death, while the bride and groom panic!

This trend makes me miss “I Thee Dread” :( .

Ack, I just noticed my typo! That should read can’t win.

I do hope he realizes that he’s working on a time limit, though. Trump isn’t known for resisting his destructive impulses when it comes to perceived threats.

No. What I know is exactly what I said. He does not live in the district he was running in. Voters generally don’t like voting for people who don’t live in the district they’re running in and it is an obstacle for any candidate in any election. It’s not in any way “wildly misleading.”

Oh, though now that I check his account, it seems like he hasn’t disappeared entirely... It seems like he still gets into cringey conversations on Kotaku once a month or so.
