A PPP poll had 48% of respondents in favor of impeachment earlier today - and that was before Trump gave Israeli secrets to Russia, and this memo dropped.

It can’t help that they’ve lost, like, nine out of ten of their big names as a result of their toxic working environment, either.
To be fair, consumers of conservative news lost their minds well before this - the average Fox viewer also reads conspiracy-peddling websites, and swaps their favorite theories with fellow conservatives on Facebook.
How the devil did InfoWars manage to be the bar everyone sank to... Breitbart, I can see how someone’s standards can become that shoddy, but just how exactly does an entire industry get it in their heads that the path to success is to follow InfoWars?
So, this is basically Fox News saying, “**** it, we’re going full Infowars!” in response to how much marketshare they’re losing to the conservative feverswamps, right?
Good riddance. That show lasted far, far longer than it should have, even as significantly better shows were cancelled.
I think a big part of the problem here is how the average person doesn’t actually understand what cultural appropriation is. How many people were “taught” the definition by Bill Meyers, versus somebody who actually understands the concept? Trying to have a conversation on the topic is akin to trying to have a…
So is the idea to intimidate immigrants into leaving their children uneducated so as to better justify stereotyping them, or are we now being asked to believe that a fourth-grader is a drug trafficker working for M18?
What is the appropriate restitution here, though? The company isn’t selling the patches, so far as I understand, and has apologized to the artists in question.
Unless they’re selling the Wonder Woman patch currently, I would be shocked if they went through the trouble of acquiring the license for the purpose of such a small run.
So... Are they, like, selling them or something?... I was under the impression these were made for a private event, of which pictures were later distributed.
This. This. This.
The same Snow White and the Huntsman that was greeted with a resounding “Meh” when when it came out?
They tacked on Matt Damon (who doesn’t really do anything in the movie) to try and sell it in the US because the one thing they want more than anything is for a Chinese production to be a smash hit in US.
Oh, although... Wasn’t there a big-budget film based on Chinese legend that came to the US a couple of months ago? I don’t think it did that well here, though I understand it did well in the Chinese market, which was more important.
Heck, just look at all of the dramas India’s writing based on the Epic of Gilgamesh right now.
Or maybe it’s that the King Arthur tales don’t have much cultural resonance at the moment. The 2004 attempt, starring Clive Owen and Kiera Knightly and directed by Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua, didn’t exactly blow anybody’s socks off, either. Stories this old tend to pop into and back out of circulation on their own…
...’Y’know, after that description, I think I’m pretty comfortable missing this movie even without grousing about Arthurian legends.
Uh, I thought the whole thing was a tragedy about Lancelot and Guinevierre’s forbidden love. Their infidelity destroyed the ideals and kingdom of Camelot, whereas if it weren’t for their shenanigans it would all be fine. Or did I just imprint too hard on Excaliber movie?
Well, of course :) .
