Wearing too much makeup looks like a clown.

As long as the cat is located inside the suitcase, yes.

My suggestion would be gasoline and a match. Cat piss is truly Satanic stuff.

I whole heartedly agree that it shouldn’t be either or. What I was implying is that I suspect that the reason other groups of women do not receive the same focus is that many publications and groups that focus on the “college rape epidemic” don’t do so entirely out of altruism. They do so because the people who read,

The answer is no one knows. The type of study that would give a more credible number has not been conducted.

I think things like the 1 in 4/5 statistic don’t die because people feel like without jarringly high numbers, they can’t convince people that there is a real problem. Trying to explain that the structure through which sexual assaults are dealt with on college campuses is broken to people who think that women are

Well, I think certain things about the way the problem is presented and discussed are mythical. The problem itself is obviously absolutely real. There have been enough verified and accurate stories of the horrifyingly awful way in which schools have handled these cases to not make that unequivocally true.

Maybe if Peter had made the "they're doing it too!" argument when Jesus chastised him for chopping of someone's ear, Jesus might have seen the beauty of that argument and changed his mind about the whole "love your enemies" thing.

This is not a time for Christians to turn the other cheek. Rather, it is a time to drive the money-changers out of the temple. The atheists no longer want to be tolerated.

‘You don’t know shit. You have no idea what it’s like to be 17 years old.’”

I used to think that watching Duke lose was the most enjoyable thing in all of college basketball, but in light of how hilarious it has been watching Duke haters crowing about them winning it all this morning, I might be changing my mind about that.

I died, and then took the trouble to come back to earth, for people who want to take the celebration of my resurrection, turn it into a day about candy, and then who want to greedily shove aside the children who the candy is supposed to be for? Really?

I don’t know that Journalism is going backwards. I think journalists have always been passionate individuals with inherent biases. I think the issue is now, with the advent of the internet and other modern technology, it’s easier for readers to be provided with a more holistic picture of the truth if a journalist

I totally agree, but arguing that point here, and on Gawker as a whole, is pointless.

Objective journalism was never a thing. Intellectually honest journalism on the other hand, is both possible and hard to do all of the time without making people think you are a raging asshole.

The NFL wants these photos not because it cares about getting Hardy’s punishment right, but because it wants to get the optics of the punishment right.

.... result in many internet commenters earning their one way tickets to hell in style.

I think you're forgetting the little world that these schools have crafted for themselves to live in. To many people who exist within these spheres, the pomp, pageantry and romance of the whole thing still exists.

Gotta disagree. I think it is patently obvious that Lebron James cannot outsmart Greg Popovich, and I think James knows that well enough to know that if he played for him, he should go with what Popovich installs and wants to do as compared to what he thinks.

I mean, again, companies can have a goal to make something people want or need, but it is ultimately in service to their goals to make enough money to keep the doors open so they can keep making something people want or need.
