So… that was pretty disappointing. I really could have done without just about every Elena scene this week. I don't know how you make a vampire with no humanity boring, but the writers certainly figured that out.

I would like to nominate Rebekah as MVP of the week. She has always been fun, but getting more insight to her character has been nice.

I'm a little surprised by this too. I'm sure it was just luck, but the
timing of the ad placement - during the 49ers comeback - worked well
too.  Watching the game in a room full of Ravens fans, the ad initially got a few grumbles until it became obvious where the ad was going. The "Go Ravens" was also appreciated.

Yes!  But, I will say that it was a little awkward because of Alicia Keys's ridiculously slow rendition.
