video games are an art form and as an art form, they are subject to criticism. Telling Anita to shut up is really no different from telling game developers to make games a certain way.

“My opinion is that people shouldn’t publicly voice their opinions,” he said publicly.
My opinion is that nobody is allowed to criticize video games.
Except she isn’t remotely interfering with developers. She doesn’t threaten them, nor forments hate campaigns directed towards them.
Surprise Surprise, Jango said something ridiculous! Again!
You are a moron. Reread the title of this article and come back to me about what this article was supposed to be about from the start.
The game we’ve written about multiple times over the past few years, right? That we’ve run videos of? That one?
The article is titled ‘My E3 Meeting With A Pro-GamerGate Developer’
I would hazard its likely impossible to go to any source on this topic that was not biased, in some sense, either way. Its a topic built on emotions and personal opinions/views.
Seriously? She can voice her opinion on gaming, and people can choose to accept it, argue it or ignore it. Critique is key to any process. Voicing these opinions should not result in threats to her, or her livelihood - that is not helpful to anyone.
Why, though? Like, what is she doing that’s so bad? I don’t agree with everything she says, but all she’s doing is talking. People, developers included, can choose to listen to her or not as is their prerogative. Limiting the conversation is generally not the best way to go about things.
Oh you mean like how certain “sections” of gamergate have bullied developers, groups and organizations to change what they do for their righteous cause? Yeah your opinion doesn’t sound hypocritical at all...Hmmmm.
Right, because she’s definitely not already doing that. Any other perception is a misguided one, frankly, that usually says far more about the sayer than anything else. Your response included.
Developers can make games however the fuck they want whether or not Anita says anything about them. The idea that people should not voice their opinion on products or art or culture is crazy. Why does, say, Stephen Totilo get to talk about the game but Anita does not?
So where should people get their GamerGate news? From pro-GamerGate blogs?
It just goes to show just how bad twitter and hashtag culture is for actual discussions about issues.
I like the scratches. She realized its shortcomings and doesn’t give a damn.
Didn’t say anything about the students being nude.
No nudity or sex scene would make this a very lame R rated Harry Potter movie.....
