I think the reason people have such an emotional response to Nintendo is not just their ability to tap into our nostalgia like no one else, but also their ability to take risks in an increasingly risk-averse world. It really does feel like they are just a bunch of tinkerers trying to make people believe in fun again.

it fits in the front pocket of my backpack on the plan and I can use it as a kickstand because I’m too tall for the angle of the built-in one to work for me.

totally and it has stellar reviews so obviously people love it. I just felt like it threw me in a world I didn’t know (new to the series) and gave me a bunch of assignments without giving me a chance to care.

I actually meant the movement/aiming more than anything, also the dinos would just hang out and not attack and it felt like they were designed knowing this. I came off of Horizon Zero Dawn so maybe I was just hoping for a different rhythm.

man, I really wanted to like Monster Hunter World but I did not at all. Everything felt clunky and needlessly complicated without enough reward for its complications. I respect other people are into it, but definitely not for me
