Disagree. I’ve never felt comfortable calling my parents “mom” and “dad”. I call them Mommy and Daddy when I’m with family. I use Mother and Padre when I’m in public, or Mommy Dearest and Curmudgeon if I’m being silly. No shame in my game.

I kinda like N’Mysis as a burlesque stage name and may steal it. It’s terrible as someone’s government name, though.
