I enjoyed this book a few years ago, which posits that your life becomes whatever you choose to focus on at the times when you have a choice about what to focus on. Being an aviation junkie, there are many YouTube channels VASAviation is a favorite) that create videos to go with actual aviation communications for all sorts of situations that have occurred, and the commercial pilots are universally calm when there is an emergency. It really is impressive.
