Just about every storefront charges 30%. Epic is the only one that charges less. And the only reason they can afford to do this is by providing the shittiest, cheapest storefront, and possibly by monetizing all the data they stole from people’s Steam profiles. And of course because they already have all the money in

No reviews, now shopping cart, shitty search function, and also it’s owned by a shady Chinese company. They’ve already been caught unethically scraping data from steam users’ profiles.

The thing is, nobody is actually getting fuzzy wuzzy except for these hack journalists. Epic is almost universally hated among gamers. The only ones praising it are these kotaku bloggers who seem to have a vested interest in screwing over consumers and suppressing every bad story about Epic.

It’s way, way harder to try and get TK’d than it is to TK, so I don’t foresee that being an issue.

No no, it’s not streaming! As the article says, “The core of it is that it’ll be a gaming platform that runs via streaming.” Totally different from another doomed-to-fail streaming service! /s

Why is this being called a “gaming platform” when the most obvious vocabulary choice would be “streaming service?” You even say “The core of it is that it’ll be a gaming platform that runs via streaming.” This is a hilariously contrived way of tiptoeing around saying “It’s game streaming.” You also describe it as a

Ok, sure. I would say it’s a very small minority of people who know about this,

Things that we feel we have “ownership” over.

if you think it downgraded then yeah! talk about it!

Seriously, it’s baffling to me that consumers still advocate for their fellow consumers to shut up and eat their shit sandwiches. Do they not realize how many times in recent memory that massive backlash has resulted in changes to games? It would actually be less pathetic if these people were paid shills, because the

Yep, just keep replying to show how little you care bud! It’s really working ;D Is it still needless anger if I’m laughing out loud at you?

Triggered? Yikes, what year do you think it is grandpa? That’s not a rhetorical nuke you can use instead of logic anymore.

Nope. If you don’t care, then cool. If you don’t believe it was downgraded, then you’re ignorant, because the same exact thing was done by Rockstar with GTAV. Sure it’s trivial, but if you don’t even have all your facts straight about such a trivial matter, maybe don’t comment?

“If you don’t like it, don’t play it, definitely don’t voice your concerns. Accept whatever the big, benevolent companies decide to give you, regardless of the quality, and NEVER complain.

What a terrible attitude. I’m glad your voice is insignificant compared to the backlash over this. They’re generating loads of bad PR headlines for Rockstar, and you’re just sitting here in the comments licking some corporate boots.

...said every single doomsayer since history began.

You’re sort of right, except for the part where you blame it on men and masculinity. Consider, instead, the obvious: that games where you participate in a normal, every-day society with very little conflict and excitement would not be very...what’s the word...fun.

Yeah, that’s why things like the Hunger Games, Divergent, and Maze Runner have been such runaway successes! Oh, wait...those were around before Trump.

If you think the huge amount of dystopian/post-apocalyptic media is something that started under Trump, then you’re simply falling victim to confirmation bias. This

PC Gamer is the first I saw one reporting on it. But just about every other gaming website has reported on it except Kotaku, because of their hardon for Steam. Game Informer, Gamespot, Eurogamer, Techraptor are a few others. The silence from Kotaku is truly deafening.

When will you stop ignoring the huge scandal of Epic’s data scraping? Every other game website is covering it. Why are you so openly, unabashedly biased?
