Bananas! Good luck to you both.

For how long? You’re living together?

“The worst part isn’t that we’re breaking quarantine or endangering our kids with infection. It’s that she wants to cuddle afterwards. Also, I have great technique.”

You... quarantined together after? What do you mean?

This is plainly untrue. Her story has remained consistent since her interview with Halper, despite numerous smears that it has changed. That she previously didn’t mention the assault is perfectly consistent with behavior of other women who have been assaulted by powerful men.

When someone has a documented history of touching people who don’t want to be touched, such that numerous women have formally and publicly complained about it, then it is fair to say that person has a significant problem with boundaries. In Biden’s case the accusations include claims that he has repeatedly smelled

Harder questions like what?

The accusations are credible, with corroboration that she’s been telling this story since the nineties, so why you would be happy with a denial that was otherwise skillful in the extent to which it was manipulative is unclear to me.

When “least predatory” means “is a literal rapist and serial pest” then the system is broken and needs to be dismantled. Maybe your brother is onto something.

“Sorry, her credibility vaporized right there”

Listen to yourself. Did you even read the article. Biden is credibly accused of RAPE.

Because what you posted didn’t actually back up your original claim.

Imagine if, having asked for sources and having been furnished with several of them, you had admitted you’d been wrong and reflected on whether there’s more to the issue of decriminalizing the sex trade than you had first considered.

It isn’t clear to me why you would think survivors advocating for the freedoms of abused women are attempting to control their bodies. That is an incredible misreading of what is happening. Men are controlling women’s bodies by forcing them to either have sex with them or starve.

There is less to distinguish the two than many realize. When you factor in things like poverty, traumatic upbringing, domestic violence, addiction, and the appetites of men who think they are entitled to the bodies of vulnerable women so long as they can pay... the line between consent and coercion becomes blurrier

Fuck off.

Again, happy to provide sources.

How charming. Here you go.

The legal sex trade in Australia acts as a front for human trafficking. I wouldn’t be so quick to hold it up as an example.

This is really inaccurate. Many of the women who are most active in campaigning against full decrim were involved in prostitution themselves, and have up close experience of its horrors. To compare what amounts to agonizing, ongoing sexual abuse to exploitation under capitalism generally is to entirely miss the point.
