EXACTLY. Saying the NYT sucks because one guy wrote a stupid fluff piece is like saying Deadspin sucks because all it is is Pro-Union Marxist propaganda.

“Alternately, just read Deadspin.” I know this is just a joke, but seriously no. I’m sure some of you could write Op-Eds for the Times, but in general the NYT and Washington Post are two of the only editorials that seem to do anything correctly without diving into far left ideological bullshit. When moderates read…
right but people on here complain when the Coen Brothers say that the problem with Hollywood is a lack of diverse writers and directors not scrips. We can’t have it both way.
anybody who would willingly donate time to a parent organization is probably not someone who understands the nuance of using the word cunt
as a cube-monkey myself I feel zero pity for these “athletes”
serious question, in what way?
and ESPN has played ball, the main way to show you have an actual quality skinny bundle is to include ESPN. Sling, Playstation Vue, etc.
The thing is, there are at least that many people who never watched ESPN (or sports), so of course they are going to drop the most expensive sub. I don’t think ESPN should worry about that, their previous subscriber amount was inflated, they are more likely to worry about retaining the actual sports fan.
the things is, comparing ESPN to NBC Sports Net is like comparing McDonalds to Long John Silvers. ESPN still has a huge subscriber number, just not the largely inflated number it once had. They will be fine, it is just going to take them to change a few things up so they can maximize their revenue with their more…
the reason people are cutting has to do far more with larger industry trends than it does with ESPN being off. Basically tens of millions were paying for ESPN and never watching. ESPN will still be very profitable, it will just take a few years of change
pretty true about how inflated ESPNs value has been with cable subscribers. Still, as more and more people watch less ad supported TV, I think ESPN (and the value of sports properties) will still remain very high as it is the most engaged, live ad supported content out there.
I thought Laura Linney’s character in You Can Count On Me was very good
I think the reason is 2 things. 1. Rape is way different than harassment. 2. Parkers movie wasn’t very good
I don’t think harassment is okay but it is a false equivalence to call what he did violence. It seemed like a cut in dry workplace harassment.
who gives a shit they’re animals
Jon Stewart!!
love when people act like off the court doesn’t effect on the court. It obviously does for a lot of guys.
I think there are two reasons for this. 1) Oversees can attract big US Stars which it can’t in other sports (so that is a novelty) 2) It gives middle tier super rich people in Europe a team they can own.
they reposted it from 2004 lol it is a great piece tho
right because Kimmel is a comedian not the fucking president, jackass.
