I don’t have a particular field I’m looking for work in...anything really! My background has been with non-profits, youth, youth-based programming. Your second set of questions...I have certain hobbies, but yeah, I can’t say where I see how things could be done better, etc.

Hi All Again, I’m pretty frustrated with my job-hunting right now and recently applied to a position that I know would be perfect for me. It’s at a place that I used to work for for years, and it’s only for two months but FT. Seems like I didn’t get that either. Had a phone interview to be selected for a second

And of course the white people on here not getting the point. :/

Hi Aeropress! I’ve seen your name around these parts here and there when I’m reading Jezzie story comments. Thank you so much! Yes, I’m a perfectionist too! I remember when that used to be seen as a good thing, but I see how crippling such a mindset is for me. What you’ve said is the advice I’ve been told over and

Aw. Thank you so much! (^_^) I need to hear that. I was off of Facebook for a few years just because of that and I was getting jealous of my friends that had graduated way before me.

I love podcasts, so I’ll check that one out. I used to listen to a couple of self-improvement podcasts in the past, but I stopped when I got frustrated with them (more with myself) and felt like I had to change who I am. That’s the hardest part for me. Feeling like I’m betraying the essence of what makes me, me even

Thank you. It’s hard for me to detach myself from my failure/fear of failure and then look at what went wrong...it just boils down to “I failed I’m a bad person and everyone thinks I suck.”

Happy Saturday! To all of you fellow nice greys thank you for the cooking for dummies tips you gave me a while ago. To be honest...I haven’t actually cooked that much at all, but when I do I’ll keep all that in mind.

I’ve been enjoying Lipstick Alley today. That is all.

This is really a disturbing trend when you start to notice it. So many people are eating good because of black women’s loyalty and when they start getting major (white) attention, we get slapped in the face and left to dry.

Thanks! I’ll check this book out for sure. :)

Thanks! I’ve tried a couple of things from Thug Kitchen and they were okay but a little time-consuming. I liked the cauliflower tacos the best. The main thing I don’t like about mostly American-based vegetarian and vegan cooking is the sometimes over reliance on soy and heavy carb-y components.

Thank you so much! Sounds good already! The trouble with adding in more veggies for me is all that prep work. For right now, I’m going to look into some frozen stemmer bag options.

Cooks and foodies out there! Any resources/books for beginner cooks? I’ve been (unsuccessfully) trying to home cook meals more often but am usually unhappy with the results. Nothing fancy either, tho I do try and cook something new over the weekends. I’m also wanting to avoid adding much if any salt and want to
