I think those are almost criminally overpriced memory cards. If it was to safeguard it from hackers it wasn’t how they did it. (I think the exploit was in the file system if I remember) If it was to be the only ones who could sell them with no competition and dictate the price, I guess they succeeded.

It’s a beta. I wouldn’t make judgment on it until the retail version comes out. And the inevitable patches.

I wonder if there’s something the publisher could do during a stage of development to get players to test the game and find bugs so they can gather data and address these issues in a way. They should call it something crazy like “Public Beta”

It seems Sony really wanted to kill the Vita by not giving it AAA first party games. What it did, was giving the spotlight to so many indy games that I would have never given the chance otherwise. I’d be waiting for the next blockbuster game and not enjoying some really fun games. The Vita has been one of the consoles…
