Don’t you dare underplay the Queen’s anti-anti-EU snub.
Don’t you dare underplay the Queen’s anti-anti-EU snub.
We do the same thing in Canada (yay Commonwealth!) and it’s fun to see.
In the end, all I ever really wanted was to look like Christina Ricci in Casper.
Internet voting has even more potential security problems than the current system.
I would too (but I also wouldn’t argue with that commenter who trolls all over the place here and at Fusion and attempts to sound “reasonable” like the FSB trains its bots to do).
Over on wypipo twitter, the snarky “progressives” are blaming DNC/ Tom Perez and hoping the Dem party implodes. When called out on being in a white echo-chamber, they immediately go on the “Hillbot” “shill” and “token” offense. When called out on not actually doing anything, they block you.
I appreciate the effort to create a silver lining, but until we start racking up wins, it’s one step forward, two steps back (not a typo). Gerrymandering, voter ID, culling the rolls, etc. discourages far more voters than these sorts of elections energize. We need a massive effort to overcome a combination of spite…
Everyone I know in Georgia is appalled. This woman stood for nothing. Her ads were all name calling and lacked any backing in reality. Literally her ad against him was that he was “naive” and a “liar”. Those ads ran without any citations at all. His ads were reasonable and pointed to specific facts and policies he…
I posted about this earlier today and I was still in the grays. I agree with you.
Cool, were you in Ohio in 2004 when voting machines weren’t registering votes for Kerry? Were you there in 2008 when the election board was kicking students from historically black universities off voter roles for misplaced apostrophes in their names? Or what about when a local town engineer in Greene County put up…
I agree. Shout it loud.
I’m going to fucking 15 post until people start to realize that we’re trusting our fucking democracy to poorly guarded and easily manipulated data from the most fucking malevolent people in this generation.
We have lost. The contest that mattered was last year. The one we lost while still shouting at each other about Bernie versus Hillary.
The high road sucks. I know Michelle Obama meant well, but “going high” doesn’t mean squat if you can’t get a seat at the table where major decisions get made for millions of Americans.
this country sucks
I have chronic pain and was on opioids for 13 years, but was able to get off them by using medical marijuana.
Yes, pot can be problematic, for sure. I now microdose it which keeps my anxiety in check and ALSO keeps me from wanting to get rip-roaring blazed once I finish my responsibilities for the day. Before I just let the anxiety build and then I’d get super stoned to fix that. It seems more sensible now.
I microdose edibles throughout the day and it’s really helped me not want to spend my evenings stoned as fuck. I wish I could tell you the dosages I use, but I’m not in a state where it’s legal so that’s tough to estimate. I just bite off tiny pieces of my candy. Enough to calm me down but not enough that I feel high.
January 2014. I’m injury prone, and whenever some incident happens to my body my first thought isn’t “am I ok?” or “what part of me is broken now?”, it’s two thoughts in quick procession: (1) “Yes!! Maybe this is bad enough for a doctor to give me some PKs!” followed by (2) “shit, please don’t be severe enough…
