I’m totally reading every last post about this divorce, but is anyone else starting to hate themselves for it just a little?

Its the pictures. Hundreds of pageant pictures.

Why do people still obsess over this case? How many non-rich, non-white girls have been murdered in the 20 years since, and where are their TV specials? I’m very interested in true crime stories, but this one has just always made me feel very, very icky.

The first episode ended with the same “these are just theories, don’t sue!” screen. I only watched because the doc will be discussed on a podcast I listen to - in hindsight I should’ve ignored CBS’s 4 hours of speculation and skipped this week’s podcast.

I’m glad someone is airing it, but depressing movies are aaaaall over wide release in theatres and are big time Oscar bait. I don’t think that’s the reason.

Actually, some people do find them socially important, especially considering their effect on the culture of hip hop. You don’t have to like them or their music to acknowledge that.

Life Time was likely more willing to finance the movie since domestic violence is one of the themes they have successfully covered in a number of films.

Lifetime?! I would pay a regular priced ticket to see this in the theatre, where it should be playing (even if if it’s not in wide release). I’m disappointed I won’t get to watch it on the big screen.

....Except Ice Cube, who’s debut album AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted chronicled the tension of a pre-Rodney King Los Angeles boiling over into a full-on riot.

“No More Lies” is the blazingest track from Michel’le’s 1989 debut album, there is no doubt about that. It still sounds as fresh and complex now as it did back then—and that hook is completely insane.

Erm...Rhode Island. Maine isn’t involved in this one.

This is really important and deserves to be somewhere better than Lifetime.
