My last interaction with a recruiter:

He calls me to ask if he can ‘say you’ve done <reading straight off a job posting>‘, when I tell him, yeah I’ve done that, he just hits return in my resume and copy/pastes the line from the job posting in my beautifully crafted resume, mutilating it beyond recognition.

I just had one pull a bait and switch on me by offering me a developer position at a highly desirable company in my area after interrupting me in a meeting at work with a phone call. I called her back, she told me “actually you’re not qualified for this and maybe the position doesn’t even exist lol sorry.” The next

I hate recruiters, they’re ridiculously lazy and always offering completely irrelevant jobs.

And also don’t forget just because they sent out these messages, it doesn’t mean they actually even read your resume, profile or even the position they’re offering!
