It benefits both of them. Putin supports Syria and Ergodan supports killing the Kurds. 

Of course, with Turkey being an integral part of NATO, it is not really feasible for the US to back a fully independent Kurdish state. It is a difficult tightrope to walk, like having two best friends who hate each other.

Trump has no idea how impeachment works. You would think he would at least read the Wikipedia article. Romney is one of the few government employees who cannot be impeached.

I mean, they could have done that before or after the 2018 election, but they did not. Trump still has extremely high approval in his party. Unless that changes (and the chances seem small), I don’t really see why Republicans would suddenly vote against him.

Whistleblowers are protected when they follow the law and report their information to the Inspector General of their organization or through another sanctioned way. They are not protected when they leak classified information that they are not authorized to disclose. That is a crime.

How intoxication is taken into account for the reasonable person standard would probably be up to the jury (and prior precedent) to determine. A reasonable person is someone of sound mind and judgement, so if the perception of imminent danger was solely perceived due to intoxication, it might not be reasonable.
