Your comment really got me thinking about how people will defend someone accused of rape. They like to think they know someone so well that they can predict whether or not they are capable of such a thing. But that’s just naive.

I’m finding this very triggering right now—mainly due to the fact that I’ve been surprised by how many people have come out and said something to the effect of “I know him. He’s not that kind of guy.”
