I guess sooner or later we’ll get a nice black and white picture of DT and a story how he died with some <insert piece of junk> totally UNEXPECTED broke down causing <insert horrible road accident> to happen.

V10 is wrong and he is right.
One taking breaks every X hours is of course something everyone will and should do.
HOWEVER, try to find a supercharger (or any charger at all) when doing a road trip that doesn’t consists of constant highway driving.
Then the whole EV theory falls apart. Going into the mountains with an…
Ground clearance when going over a mild hill: Negative.
I had a Santa Fe (DM, 2013) Theta II 2.0 T-GDI. Engine was supposed to have 270 hp. Didn’t find it. Powertrain/shifts is just .. bad. The size was great. The ‘electronic gadgets’ were underwhelming. Seats decent. Paid too much for a new one.
Would not recommend.
I only bought it because it was a big SUV for a decent…
There are more cars than 2-year olds at dealers...
You’re on Jalopnik.
You could have gone for something 5,7 even 10 years old that hardly depreciates, is probably easier to fix than anything produced in 2019 and plenty more choice.
Anyways, what is done is done.
Right. Actually where I went wrong was comparing the new GT3 to the old GT3 RS. My mistake. Not a Porsche expert and only after studying the wiki saw the many differences (between the regular GT3 and the GT3 RS variants).
“After spending almost 4 hours running up and down Angeles Crest I can easily see how the new GT3 is quicker than the last gen RS around the Nurburgring (6:55.2 to 6:56.04 for the RS).”
I am doubting you can feel improvements that result in a sub second improvement on the ring... We’re talking about 0.3% faster.
Just…

You are very ignorant about kart racing. There are no pieces of rubber and rocks and plastic flying on a karting track. Not only are the tires slicks and result in very tiny pieces of rubber, there is also no other rubbish on a track and it definitely won’t be thrown at drivers.
A hard piece of plastic, sometimes…
Most people don’t look at how much they pay in the end,
but if they can pay the monthly payment.
20k in 5 years or 20k in 7 years is a difference of $333 or $238 a month (just for the loan). The interest adds up, but still there is a gap. Near a $100 difference means you have little money left for gas and insurance, or…
A few problems with cars with high age and low mileage ;
1. they might not have changed oil when it was due to mileage but was getting old (having worse lubricating effect even though they didn’t run that much)
2. city traffic and short rides. While having a car that ALWAYS has been on the highway isn’t great (bearings…
“And Polestar remains, quite easily, the best alternative if you want to buy an EV and don’t want to align yourself with Elon Musk and his crew of chucklefucks.”
Well well well...
I doubt ppl that do street racing go to a track, at all. It’s not their thing. There aren’t enough ppl around to arouse them to ‘do their thing’. Also track racing requires some skill, something I don’t see as required to do ‘street racing’ which involves more polishing your rocker-covers and pushing NOS buttons....
I now, right.
Pretty unlikely a (car) engine can rev until 50k RPM.
Prolly above 8k things already would have gone haywire. Lack of lubrication, vibrations, cam belt/chain going berserk...
Agreed.
Never liked Turn 17, too easy to lose time there if you brake early and if you brake late you go wide and lose even more. There is just want way and that is to Do It Right. Not easy when the pavement tries to loosen the head bolts of your block.
In its rear-wheel-drive guise and equipped with the (optional) larger battery pack, the manufacturer estimates a peak range of between 290 and 300 miles. Real-world EPA range will probably be a bit shorter.
This is good stuff from KIA.
They’ve been making big big strides since the early 2000s and this looks like how a proper EV should look like. Advanced, but not quirky (think i3, i8, Prius and many other small-city not-cute-just-odd cars), inside equipped with proper buttons and screens and a wheel and probably fair…
Mongolia episode was epic. +1
You know it takes about 5 minutes to ‘turn back’ the odometer especially on any modern car with a digital odometer.
Only way to combat that is to have an additional tamper proof black box system which I cannot recommend unless you don’t like driving a car.
Yes it is illegal to do that but if there are gains to be had,…
MGC bulge :)
