Exactly what about this is so enthralling? What makes it an enthusiast’s dream?
Really? Come to S. California, I see 20-25 a day.
Chassis are .120" wall DOM tubing, I want to say 2-1/2" or 3" OD, can’t remember. Low CG is the name of the game these days, engines are mounted super low in the chassis compared to even 10 years ago.
I think a lot of motorsport fans get hung up on monster truck competitions because it’s only kind of sort of racing. I’ve been to probably a half dozen of these things in my life and I always looked at it from the perspective more that it’s like going to an air show. The technology is really impressive and they are…
What makes Monster Jam so great is that is all about the fans and the spectacle. It is professional hooning in absurd vehicles. No BS drama, no officials mugging for the camera. Just men and women out to entertain people in huge trucks.
Niche sports car vs souped-up mass production car would be my first guess.
That car has a base starting price of $32k, and also weighs 400-900 lb more than the BRZ though.
Again, don’t you already have your cheap, affordable sports car? So they made their whole damned point. The car is not sustainable as-is, which is the author’s whole damned point.
Because the ST is based off of an economy car platform. The BRZ includes the cost of designing an entirely new platform from the ground up specifically for one low-volume model.
There’s a TON of fat to be cut from the $500k budget.
The food budget is around $450 every week, for an average family.
The $80k+ Toyota.
Etc.
Why not .01, then?
That’s not the journalist’s issue. That’s the car companies and the JATOs and IHS’s and JD Power, not to mention the EPA and NHTSA doing their segmentation thing.
Wait just a second. I called them coworkers for a reason.
This is insulting to children and babies.
alternate, better take: the buttresses look cool.
Previous multiple Mustang owner here, I love my FR-S. I had some of the newer Coyote Mustangs with the MT82 manual. They were garbage. I’ll keep my 200 hp fun box.
Smooth Line looks like it is developing a top for the 2015+ cars...
