Hillary was 13 years old in 1960.

Agreed. Thank you. What a lazy piece.

Captain Scully also had a first officer and I didn’t see anybody complaining about hero-worshipping Scully. Or making a fucking movie about him.

OK, Cohen seems like a moron who can fairly be called racist, but his 12 Years a Slave column, if you read it, is trying to make the point that he WASN’T taught about the brutality of slavery in school. And he’s calling attention to that. So it’s the opposite of the point you’re making. https://www.washingtonpost.com/o

No they aren’t.

This is an important discussion to be having and a very brave, wonderfully-written piece. But is it part of the Me Too movement? I genuinely don’t know. It didn’t happen at work and wasn’t used to hurt his career.

I’ve seen news reports that his SAT was in the 1200 range which seems absurdly low (out of 2400, no?) so I’m not sure if they are true.

The dog was in a TSA-approved carrier that fit under the seat. It wasn’t “smuggled” aboard, the owner had paid extra to bring it on the plane and so the airline was informed that she was going to be doing so.

lol.....um....Hillary Clinton?

Sorry dude but the Hasidim are racist and sexist as shit and anyone who has lived around them knows that aggressive behavior towards women not in the community is common, especially from Hasidic men. Also, a specific dress code is valid to use as an identifier, e.g. if she had said a nun had tried to run her down.

I started this piece ready to roll my eyes like I do at a lot of the “hot takes” on Splinter, etc. written from a place of ill-informed outrage rather than nuance and historical context. But instead, I thought this was overall a really well-rounded piece that managed to teach me something new while serving as a rare
