I live in an apartment and work on my car all the time (I’m coming here from Jalopnik). There are a few repairs I’ve done that probably looked like I was trying to ‘hotwire’ my car or ‘jimmy the door’ but those were done in my complex’s parking lot and I usually had a bunch of tools to put away afterwards.
