I actually have no problems with such “chickenpox” parties, but with the following caveats:

He’s admitted to being asymptomatic, how come he was able to get tested (and get his results) while thousands of Americans with all the symptoms of the disease are told to self-quarantine because there aren’t enough…

state law is certainly relevant. definitely in California, if you have accrued sick time, it has to be paid out when you’re laid off or quit. being laid off is no bar to collecting unemployment.
