Urban sure, not sure what “bumpkin” means in this context since I’d consider myself reasonably sophisticated and because that term has a decidedly rural connotation.

I live in the Northeast and do not believe you unless you provide at least a state and county name. Adding a 0 to that number in my area gets you SOME decent options, but to get anything nice you’re touching 7 figures.

Agreed. Parked at car shows or cars and coffee-type events their good looks get overshadowed, but I saw a completely black Chiron cruising on the highway and it’s utterly jaw-dropping in the wild.

Surprised Andy Dwyer didn’t get to that one first.

Cats are animals, so it counts.

It’d be like the Ram SRT-10 and Lightning were back in the day (wow I just used that phrase, am I old?) when I was in high school. They’d absolutely sell; there’s a big demographic of people who like weird incongruous vehicles like that.

HellRam. Hell + animal name so it keeps the trend.

+1 for the cassette adapter. Used one in many cars through college, years ago.

Irrelevant to the OP’s response, which was only commenting on fuel tank placement. Front-mounted fuel tanks are common in Porsches and air-cooled VWs and aren’t any less safe than having the tank anywhere else.

Sure, I’m with you. Even the current Ford Focus has those nasty DSG issues, not to mention the Cobalt fiasco. It’s just interesting that only German cars got tarred with this “horrendously unreliable and expensive to fix/maintain” brush that it’s taking ages to shake off.

To reiterate several posts, that IS real HOWEVER it isn’t an RS4 engine, it’s an S4 engine. S4 has this issue, RS4 doesn’t.

I’m both I think. Lol.

I think you’re largely right. Ignorant yes but not necessarily idiots; those two don’t have to correlate.

Agreed on all counts. That 3.0 “T” (quotes because it’s supercharged not turbocharged) is a phenomenal engine regardless of what car it’s in.

That is inaccurate.

I did basically the same thing (65" dumb 1080P LED to 65" smart LG OLED)... you won’t regret it. LG OLEDs are unbelievable and can be found brand new for very reasonable prices if you look around. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

This is a bad take.

The air-cooled cars have come down a lot also, it wouldn’t surprise me if you could get a driver-quality SC or 3.2 for that money either.

Agreed, nowhere near enough. 911 engines of all eras are absurdly expensive; this looks well-sorted and was an expensive build.

I haven’t noticed that feeling but I totally recognize that it could be subjective. The old 911 I have as a toy doesn’t even have power steering so I guess my perception is skewed; nothing now feels even close to “real.” All modern cars are closer to video games than actual driving.
