Get the 924S. Amazingly good momentum car, and a super balanced chassis. One of the most fun slow cars I’ve ever driven.

My dad bought one of these 16 years ago for this price... they’ve appreciated a lot since. Huge NP.
In all seriousness, if you live anywhere with weather those 22" wheels are too much. You’ll bend or crack them if you even look at a pot hole.
I agree. I’m an extremely casual gamer who will likely benefit from this; my skill level has stayed largely the same since S1/S2 (well, ok, it was better for a bit in the middle but I’ve regressed) and wins have become much harder to come by.
Yeah. My better half just got an SQ5 and I concur with essentially everything you said. We cross-shopped the X3 M40i but it didn’t feel as fast as the S, even though it is, and the Audi dealer gave us a truly stupid deal so it made her decision easy. Completely agree that most Acura and Lexus interiors are heinous,…
Not arguing with anything you say, your points are all completely valid.
My girlfriend’s new Audi has this and I HATE it. It’s hypersensitive, even on the lowest setting, and it doesn’t understand traffic jams.
As the owner of an ‘84 Carrera, I support this plan. That said the factory 200hp is fun because you can use all of it, all the time.
Fact. The doors on this car will fit a 993... after the wheelbase stretch in the ‘60s they changed nearly nothing for ~30 years.
Valid point. That said, (and this is an assumption) insurance companies typically only ask about the last 5 years so my suspicion is that their data set reflects that.
Nope. Only since ‘84. Prior to that there were a few models with the Carrera designation going back to the 356 but they were far from base.
Mid-80s, the 3.2 came out in 1984.
Since 1984 it’s been the base or standard model. For several years beginning in ‘84 it was also the only model aside from the Turbo, you could just choose a coupe/Targa/cabrio bodystyle.
This was an influential factor in my girlfriend’s decision of an SQ5 over an X3 M40i. It wasn’t the deciding factor, there were many reasons, but it did make the list... it’s a needless added expense.
Also a Giants fan... what’s to be aggrieved about? They’re going to be horrendous and we know that going into it. Not like anything will be a surprise.
I generally agree with you however I think certain companies like Singer transcend the standard. They create things that capture the vision/ideal-state of a classic car while maintaining authenticity and driving involvement. Classic cars are incredibly fun but were not built for modern driving/commuting and they let…
Pleased to be of service. And in general I completely agree, at least 3/4 of the cars that claim to be “tastefully” lowered look terrible.
It’s nice to have a civilized discussion about a difference of opinion and actually change a viewpoint. America needs more of that these days. No joke this civility improved my day.
“Tastefully lowered” is absolutely a thing. My 911 is dropped quite a bit from stock height. It a.) looks perfect and b.) is tasteful.
RS5 also. Comfortably under $100k, and they’re absolutely insane cars.
