Yeah. It is odd. I had no issues riding in classics as a youth but when I inherited my old 911 and drove it on the highway for the first time I was definitely feeling very mortal. I still drive it frequently and use it as a toy, but I basically treat it like a motorcycle with a huge focus on caution and defensive

Gonna have to vehemently disagree with you here.

Different front end. This was shared with the Ram, but the Durango shared with the Dakota. Also different rear end but that is more subtle.

Fun fact: It is possible to be hung over to the point that you do not accept free booze in business/first class. I may or may not be, but definitely am, speaking from experience. I am not proud of this. Out of principle, free booze should never be turned down so I respect your dedication to this initiative.

I love the F10. It’s imposing without being aggressive; I loved the design since they were released and I finally bought one a while back. Amazing car, and amazing looking.

The 747-8 is a great plane, I flew to Germany in one (Lufthansa) a few years back. Quieter than an A380 which is nice on an overnight flight.

Yup. My better half bought a new car last weekend, we get it Saturday.

He’s not wrong though. I love driving, but my commute sucks. If my daily driver would do the 45 minutes of traffic for me and I could just rip my old 911 around on weekends I wouldn’t mind one bit.

We went driving them this weekend. A few notes, some of which are highly subjective as you alluded to:

My immediate reaction was “not a shot in hell” for similar reasons.

How was the X3 M40i? I think we’re going to test drive one tomorrow for my better half. She loved the SQ5 so I’ll be curious to see how it compares.

I actually prefer the weapon feel in BF1 over BF4 or V. So I’m largely with you it’d just be BF4 weapons/vehicles equipment, BF1 physics engine/gunplay, BF4 graphics.

I bought this game when it was on a steep sale, around Christmas maybe? I’ve played it once and never felt any desire to do so again. And I was a HUGE BF4 and BF1 player for a while.

Agreed. My 207 hp 3.2 911 is far more fun than a lot of higher horsepower cars because I can actually use all of the power a lot of the time.

I agree with you. I’m a proud member of the “300-ish is the right amount of horsepower” camp. WRX, 996, S3, S4, 340i... these all have actually useable amounts of power and are incredibly fun.

Now playing

“Me and my cabinet agree that area is ripe for a regime change.”

Same, kind of. My go-to is an AWD GT3 RS built to like 860ish... its fast as hell but likes to slide around a little so it’s fun and takes some skill to do well with it. The stupid fast hypercars are no fun to drive.

Owned 2 Audis and currently own a BMW. This data checks out.

Happens all the time.

I drove a D110 which had had about $100k in modifications and improvements done to it. It was... still completely awful and nearly impossible to drive on small local roads. It felt like a tractor, and I mean that literally. A literal tractor.
