I don’t think Corvettes are inherently bad, I just don’t personally like them and they don’t do anything for me. At any price tier, new or used, I’d rather have something else. Usually that thing is whatever Porsche I can get.

Sure but I’m pretty confident the brand also stands on its own merits for performance etc. so GM may as well capitalize with a line of Corvettes at different performance tiers.
Having driven a 3-series back to back with the 5-series I ultimately bought, you are 100% correct. The 3 is made to be leased as cheaply as possible. sold CPO, and then on to a bargain-basement used car dealer for the 3rd owner.
Corvette is basically a performance brand within Chevrolet already, given all the different trim levels etc. There’s no reason a mid-engined car can’t be called a Corvette.
I love cars for both mechanical and aesthetic reasons, and I love watches for the same reasons. My 3.2 Carrera is a beautiful and classy car with an amazingly fun, organic, and mechanical feel that modern “better” cars can’t replicate. My Breitling and Omega are beautiful and classy pieces (for different occasions)…
Have you driven a late G-body? The 3.2s are generally accepted to be dead reliable, and they’re amazingly fun to drive. That’s what they’re using as a base here, not a narrow-body early car which yes were a lot worse.
There’s at least one...
What gearbox do they usually use for these? G50 or 915? Or does it vary based on what the donor car had?
Why does that only have 3 gauges instead of the 5 my 3.2 911 has?
How has nobody responded with an air-cooled 911 yet? Phenomenally utilitarian, incredibly visible, and all of the important information is right there in front of you. I don’t have a picture from my own car handy so here’s one pulled from Google.
God damn Kinja’s endless scrolling. Who the hell decided that was a good idea? I don’t have enough time when I’m procrastinating to make sure the stupid page didn’t jump.
Have one. Can confirm. Still want my better half to get a Macan as a daily since she wants a small fast SUV. There’s room in this world for both.

Generally I don’t either. The only time I notice some value is in heavy traffic because you have better odds of seeing a car or two ahead so you can anticipate braking better.
Experience, yes. Success, no. She’s not giving up the high driving position for anything.
Seems like the only logical approach, tbh.

Your assumption that’s the “gold” is even metal amuses me. That all is 100% plastic.
You mean paving the streets with actual bitcoin*
Speedmasters are one of the ultimate watches. I love mine. They’re affordable (by Swiss watch standards) and “classless” in that anyone who likes watches will always respect them, even if that person can afford something far more expensive.
You GOTTA try an air-cooled 911. They’re a revelation.
