Perhaps, but the D-pad is used a lot in both and I haven’t noticed any problems (so far). I, too, have the SN30 Pro (G Classic), purchased mainly for the older Nintendo Online games, as well as the new Pro 2. Both excellent controllers, and the configuration options on the Pro 2 are great!
