If I had to guess, I'd say a lot of those errors might have been caused if they used OCR on the scanned documents, though one would hope that the resulting text was proofed prior to posting. In this case, it clearly wasn't.

I've been using Windows 8 for a while now and find the Metro interface to be completely frustrating and useless! Sure, it would be great on a tablet or other touch screen device, but on a laptop or desktop, ESPECIALLY in a business environment, it has no place.
