... claiming the government is run by human-reptile hybrids

Needs a guy with back to mushroom cloud taking a selfie :)

Speaking of ban, Gizmodo once banned my original account for reasons I could never figure out. I don’t post anything inflammatory or offensive, and as far as I can tell I never broke the community guidelines. That was a starred account too, and I could never get anyone to look into it and tell me what I did wrong.

and suddenly heard the door open

but they won’t break the law to protect their customers

I got one last week. It took a little bit of practice to fit it into the charging case, but it’s not that hard. There’s definitely a small learning curve there - first time took me a few minutes to get it right (I didn’t RTFM), subsequently took just seconds once I figured out what to do. Put it in the right position

My guess is that he knows very well how it works, and his lawyer does too, but he hopes that MindGeek will pay them money to make them go away instead of fighting it.

It’s a class on marketing. Making up bullshit seems appropriate.

Excel’s flawed PRNG will be an issue if it is used for cryptography or security related issues, but without knowing more details, it is not possible to say if it is sufficient for this simple task. What is more screwed up is that parents of citizens are being given permanent resident status by luck.

Someone told me that they received another round of funding and are hiring, so I guess they’re alive for now. I thought the dot com crash taught us lessons about burning large amounts of VC money on impractical ideas, but maybe not.

Zume Pizza. Strange business idea (as in I don’t see how they’ll ever be profitable) but it is a pizza oven on wheels.

Rubik’s cube is hipster??

it seems unlikely that any truly confrontational law is unlikely to garner enough support.

On the other hand, with lower demand there’s less competition in the market, so manufacturers are not going to try to undercut the price of the other guy. You also don’t get the price advantage from mass production.

Don’t worry, Trump will step up to protect the rights of Russians, just like how he’s protecting Chinese jobs.

There are large capacitors inside a power supply. They may still hold a charge when unplugged from mains. If you insist on mucking around inside a power supply, let it sit around unplugged for a couple of days before messing with it.

I wouldn’t go that far. By that criteria, a number of people I know would join that list...

Of course it was the native who was just working to earn his living who died and not one of these rich assholes doing a publicity stunt. Ugh.
