Right, but you applied. It seems as if Carson didn’t even apply.

Here’s a nice quote from Dr. Ben via Digby:

So, which would you say you’ve been doing longer- rooting for Alabama or sleeping with your sister?

Guess you didn’t watch the game?

You will get roofied.

If I remember correctly though Halo 4 and the Forerunner saga did have some differences on the attitudes/motivations of the Didact. It’s been a while since I’ve read those though. I just remember being a bit peeved about it at the time.

The Halo universe really is one of my favorite in sci-fi. The best stuff isn’t even about Master Chief, but the other characters that inhabit it and the backstory/history.

You know- you’re allowed to curse on the internet, right?

Nuclear radiation gave them all super powers.

Sounds like it is your problem since you’re whining about it like a little bitch.

I kind of doubt him doing this in classes was a regular occurrence and this is the first video that’s gotten out. Being an asshole, maybe, but not what was depicted in the video.

The smart ones did, because that’s just what people tend to do these days when they see/know a police interaction is coming. Which is what they should do. It’s what everyone should do.

More likely they had a huge fight or flight response and a burst of adrenaline.

I still don’t think that the OP would react in hysterics or anything like that during the timeframe that we saw of the video. Maybe after it all happened and they’d had time to decompress I would expect that.

I don’t think they’ve seen an SRO throw a girl across the room before. I don’t think they’d be expecting that even in the most inner city of schools.

That and what’s probably going through their heads is probably more like, “OMG WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! DID HE JUST THROW HER ACROSS THE ROOM??!” rather than thinking what internet commentors are saying about how not getting up or leaving class doesn’t warrant being thrown across the room, or the unjustice of it

Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t. We’ll never know. But people always want to say they’d do this or that in a given situation. But it’s easy to say when reading an article or watching a video. It’s easy to say what you’d do as someone that’s out of HS now and likely has much more real world experience.

There’s a difference between “keeping your composure” and being in a state of shock at what’s happening in front of you.

Oh boy. I can’t wait to read all the comments on this

I would have been out of my mind if this happened in my suburban, lily white high school.
