Agreed. These days in the life sciences most students just skip the MS and go straight for the PhD. Most people who get a MS are those who joined a PhD program, decide it’s not for them and master out.

The lack of the PhD and life science degree is what kills this article for me. Those students, more than the anyone else (besides maybe the MBA seekers), are to me the students that seek graduate degrees most often.
