I understand criticism, because people are pretty judgy about the Soon Yi thing. My feelings about Allen are complicated in part because I feel like there was a lot of dysfunction in the Farrow household and a lot of unsavory behavior on the parts of all the adults involved in that clusterfuck. Does that mean I don’t

Nate Parker isn’t really interested in equity; he’s interested in privileging black masculinity and himself. It’s really ugly and I’m not here for it. If your pro-Blackness isn’t pro-woman, pro-queer, pro-trans, pro-disability, it is NOT pro-Blackness; you just want to oppress as you yourself were oppressed.

I do too, re: Allen and Polanski. Not sure if they are the same, but one is a convicted rapist, and the other has never had any investigation come to a conclusion of any wrongdoing. I can understand criticism of people working with the former, but I just don’t understand criticizing the latter.

I guess I just don’t see consistency as a reasonable, achievable goal, given the number of variables when comparing any two celebrity miscreants. That said, I don’t disagree with you for bringing the inconsistency up.

Why can’t people like this just say, “I had misconstrued ideas about consent 17 years ago and I fucked up big time. I was also an arrogant little shit head. I have spent many years re-evaluating my actions and come to more enlightened conclusions about consent.” Why is it so hard for so many men to admit when they are

He keeps reiterating that he was cleared of all charges but he doesn’t ever say he didn’t do it. His non-denial denial is excruciating.
