I don't think it's Montana, just taking a guess at what Barry meant. My guess is that some people value an undefeated SB record? Even if you're throwing to Jerry Rice instead of waiver wire scraps it's somehow more impressive to make four instead of six?

Apparently winning 4 Super Bowls and losing 2 is not as good as only going to 4 and winning all of them, because winning the AFC championship and making it to the Super Bowl is not as good as never making it to the Super Bowl to begin with...or something like that. Makes perfect sense.

I don't buy that counter point. You can't win games you aren't in. Making two more super bowls can only be positive, not a negative towards his "score".
