Well, you keep saying how they had a massive divisional lead. Wasn't it down to just a game when they pulled the trigger on the Lester deal? They were already headed in a downward spiral with Cespedes, and won 7 of Lester's 11 starts while being 11 games under .500 overall with him on the team. They got in to the WC

It's not like they'd be keeping Cespedes past 2015, anyway. Who knows if the A's will be a contender next year, they traded one maybe two shots at a title with Cespedes for one shot at a title with Jon Lester. I think most people would take the latter in a heartbeat.

Huh. Usually it's Hermanito Cain doing the harassing.

Guessing the players had seen the tape from AC and happened to be in Vegas when Schefter saw them.

I couldn't agree more. The PR campaign for Rice and the smear campaign against Palmer that Steve Bisciotti oversaw is so god damn disgusting.

The security guard wasn't fired, the entire resort shut down a few days before TMZ put out the tape. There is no hotel anymore.

I don't think that reflects reality. At least in the college game, stadiums that start offering beer are seeing decreases in the amount of alcohol related incidents inside the stadium. Banning alcohol in stadiums results in the same kind of binge drinking problems we see among 18-21 year olds.

Benjy never does Bababooeys during these, neither does Janks. That's usually Joey Boots.

"Protestor"? It's Benjy Bronk. He does this at every major news conference.

BENJY BRONK APPEARANCE!

The random noises Francessa is making over this press conference are more intelligent and honest than anything Goodell has said.

Most of these people are probably hoping to exchange them for a Ray Lewis jersey.

This is why the NFL and its owners do what they do. Roger Goodell knows he doesn't really need to come out of this two weeks of hiding to right the league. Steve Bisciotti knows he doesn't need to address the fact that he smeared a domestic abuse victim and deserves to lose his team. The Wilfs know they don't need to

Who throws a shoe, honestly? He fights like a woman.

A rule change to benefit Peyton Manning's WR corps? Color me shocked.

Pennsylvania seems like a pretty OK state

If only we could do this to INSERT MEMBER OF OPPOSING POLITICAL PARTY HERE.

I mean, I wouldn't call pulling a mediocre song Rihanna sure as hell didn't write (and barely sings in) from the intro to a football game "silencing", but otherwise I agree with you.

"She shouldn't have been punched. But....."

My mother did teach me that, because I'm a male. And, no, a woman hitting a man probably shouldn't be hit back.
