Are we repeating some earlier time, where the phrase “all new” really meant “We did some cosmetic and interior updates, but are still kind of phoning this in.”?

The rebate is good, to be clear. It’s just kinda useless for me in most cases. A personal thing, naturally, but it does make me sad all the same. For clarification sake; my drive is over 200 miles roundtrip. When it gets cold, or just really hot in the summer, batteries are a roll of the dice, but also something I

I know what you mean. I really only put the “both sides” line in there because I get shouted at elsewhere for somehow “picking on” Republicans, like they’re some innocent group and I’m being a bully.

Taking winter and high heat summer into account, the Bolt is really the only one that might cover it, honestly.

Appreciate the links. I wonder how selective they are with where you actually buy the car to get the rebate. Like, does it need to be a dealer, or can you buy from a private seller on CL and hope the paperwork holds?

I never said the rebate was bad on it’s face; I said that, as you are cheekily mocking, it is useless to me. If you think being annoyed about a rebate I can’t use is too personal a take, then, yeah, that’s because it is a personal take; one that directly affects what car I can or can’t consider as a future purchase.

Alternative Option:

People have a right to be pissed about this, since it is predatory regardless of whether it affects other players or not. It’s the reason Loot Boxes/Supply Drops/Etc. are so reviled; they prey on people who may not be able to resist what they offer, and the companies doing them don’t care. Most, it would seem, plan

the sale price of the car must not be more than $25,000"

Rage Racer will always be number one in my heart, but it’s sometimes seen as the odd man out. It is on lists like this, so it’s known well enough, but, as mentioned, it’s tone skews so oddly oppressive, that it can easily turn people off.

Alright, I’ll put myself out there and ask a potentially dumb question, re: Oldsmobile.

I know the Porsche Tax (TM) is all-consuming, but that is some insane money for what is essentially a base model... especially when the listing is so vague about options.

Honestly, my first thought here was that those who started the lawsuit were resellers hoping to screw people later by gouging on prices, but couldn't when Dodge announced more models later. If that’s the case? Hope they lose and they can all rot; no respect to people like that.

As someone with a 2017 S90, a car you can’t use the included remote start with unless you pay Volvo $200 a year? Yeah, I’m gonna toss a big ol’ “Doubt” on them not charging in the future.

Honestly, I’d love to have an EV, but the funds I could put towards one, coupled with my long commute (145 miles roundtrip) each day, means any actual budget vehicle couldn’t do the miles, and ones that could are hilariously out of my price range.

It is a nice color. Reminds me of the “Sage Green” Volvo uses on it’s newer cars, like this C40 here.

Sometimes, you just have a craving for bacon.

The Denali level never made sense to me when I first saw it years ago. In our current motoring society of overpriced bricks that will never go off-road or tow, however, it seems (terribly) acceptable.

No grand story of hectic runs around town here, just general absentmindedness:
