I don’t know why it continues to surprise me how much the writers here are simple reductionists. This is just as bad as reducing to the black playa, the Mexican mean mom or the Italian gaster. Nice post and I appreciate the point of view. Not being from the same demographic should never keep you from appreciating another person’s struggle or path. If we expect it to, we’ll never get those who are privilaged to appreciate and respect those of us who struggle so much.
