I agree completely. I’ve just never found him funny in anything.

Kept on waiting for that dog to have spicy explosive diarrhea on Spicer’s shoes. Never gonna get that 38 seconds back.

If it doesn’t, I’m gonna blame you for jinxing it.

No matter what happens during the primaries (and I’m thoroughly in the Undecided column for the time being), I hope that his campaign sets a new standard for how all elections (not just Presidential) are funded.

*tips hat to the sarcasm then settles to reality* Right now, after seeing several other establishment dems and not seeing anything I like... I think its going to be bernie for me in the primary. Unless someone more progressive than him shows up - I’m likely going to go with him. I won’t vote Biden in the primary,

Two thumbs up for a revelatory use of sarcasm. Well done, sir.

Oh, yeah, missed that entirely, if that’s the case. My bad. And yeah, sarcasm, irony, and parody are dead, especially here and now.

He took $0 from the NRA in 2016. Or in any other election cycle. Anyone can look this up.

I realize that sarcasm, irony, and parody are dead in this timeline, but what you were responding to was very tongue in cheek.

Wow. It’s already bad enough when politicians have just a few donors that they’re beholden to for all that cash. Now Sanders already has 120,000 people he’s going to owe favors to. Sell-out shill.

Honestly, I wouldn’t bet on a white man shooting a man of color getting any type of consequence.

God bless Emma Thompson.
I just watched her in Ang Lee’s Sense and Sensibility and she is a constant delight. Especially since she also wrote the film’s script.

Well, yeah.

That’s objectively true—and there’s a certain element of irony in the absolute viciousness with which some folks will deny that fact.

However, Sanders’ policies are, in general, much more humane, better for the environment, and better for our international alliances and obligations. It’d be nice if he could

Yeah maybe it’s a bad idea to spend 18 months calling a large segment of voters naive idiot bros because their economic policies fall to the left of Margaret Thatcher.

No chance. Hillary really screwed everything up in 2016 and everyone knows that now. Bernie would have captured the hearts, imagination, and of course the attention of the nation and handily defeated Trump. That was then. Now Bern will have his vengeance on Middle America MAGA Monkeys.

I will never forget a negative review of ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ I read which, amongst other things, complained about the lengthy Benjamin Brittan sequence at the start explaining how the sections of an orchestra work together because the reviewer couldn’t see what it had to do with the film. I thought, “Are you kidding

Well, everyone knows most AV Club commentators have seen Rushmore.  What this comment presupposes is... maybe someone didn’t?

The delivery of “giving each other handjobs” is what makes it extra killer. Kudos, child actor whose name I’m not taking to the time to look up right now.

I don’t get that from Rushmore at all, not least because there’s a clear arc for Max through the film. Also to be honest they’re ruining each other’s lives rather than hers.

I love Moonrise Kingdom for many reasons, but the soundtrack is a huge part of it. In it, Anderson has a film properly set in the 60s, but the music is predominately choral and orchestral pieces by Benjamin Britten. (Plus some Hank Williams.)
