If it was voters’ instinct to think like this, it is possible Democrats would win every election for the foreseeable future without putting in any effort.  Unfortunately, I don’t think voters tend to think like this, which means Democrats may have work to do to get this message across. 

Maybe treating voters like they are blathering idiots too stupid to know what they want is part of the problem. Maybe the voters you’re talking about AREN’T voting against their interests, and maybe the voters who are voting are better arbiters of what their actual interest is than you are. 

Child poverty was dropped drastically virtually overnight when child tax credit payments started going out after Biden’s stimulus passed. I’m sorry, what evidence have you offered?  What is the specific thing you brought up?  The infrastructure bill?  What about it?  You expect me to argue against the (patently false) notion that people “instantly forgot” about it the day it was signed?

There is absolutely a conflict with a person who has open political preferences saying the platform they privately own and control will be politically neutral. It’s fairly obvious, and it strikes me as weird to pretend it’s not there. Political neutrality and political preference openly conflict.
